The subcommittee on Displays and Lighting solicits papers on recent advances in material, fabrication and devices related to mainstream and upcoming lighting and display technologies. Efficient lighting systems such as solid-state light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and organic LEDs (OLEDs) promise significant conservation and greener usage of electrical energy. As a multi-billion industry, display technology is leading the way for future new human interaction panel displays, smart phones, e-book readers, and flexible displays.
Jasper Display Corp., which operations started in 2010, is a leading designer of LCoS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) and has successfully developed and brought to the marketplace several new, very high speed Full HD (FHD) microdisplays and a microdisplay controller. By controlling LC, LCoS could do amplitude modulation or phase modulation, so it is a SLM (Spatial Light Modulator). In addition, Jasper Display has the world’s smallest Ultra HD (UHD) microdisplay in the world. Jasper Display’s newest addition, the OCM, will now add an ASIC controller to drive the full line of microdisplays from FHD to UHD.
